The center has over the period of its existence
- Carried out 300 renal transplants
- Carried 14 cadaver renal transplants
- Carried out multiple Free-Dialyses fro the poor along with KG Kidney Foundation
- Transported a brain dead victim by road in the mobile ICU from Trivandrum to Coimbatore for Cadavar Transplantation. This is the first incident in the history of Indian Cadavar transplant program where a brain dead victim has been transported by road.
- For the first time in the country, a 2-day-old child was dialyzed successfully for 28 days. This has won appreciation from all over the world and this case history was published at ISPD (International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis) conference in Montreal, Canada.
- Mr. Muthuraj, who experienced two hyper acute rejections elsewhere, underwent third successful kidney transplantation in K.G. Hospital (for the first time in the history of kidney transplantation). He is doing well with normal kidney functions for the past two years. It may be noted that due to failure of two kidney transplantations, he was advised against undergoing a third kidney transplantation in various transplant centers.
