An unique drive associated with the KG Kidney Center is the KG Kidney Foundation. The foundation is an effort by the a group of renal transplant patients of K.G. Hospital in conjunction with K.G. Hospital to contribute and strive to extend the reach of the renal transplants to the poorer segments of the society. This foundation provides monetary and moral support to economically backward patient with acute renal failure.

Also as a part of its activities, the foundation has also initiated a program of "Save a Life Today " where 1 free dialysis is sponsored everyday to a poor patient. This program is funded through liberal donations (tax-exempted) starting from Rs 1000/- by philanthropists from all over the country.
