Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, MS, FICS, FCCP, FAMS, FMMC; is the Managing Trustee of K. Govindaswamy Naidu Medical Trust, which runs the K.G. Hospital.
A man of mission, Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, has been the principal driving force behind the establishment of K.G. Hospital as one of the foremost centers of Healthcare Management, Medical Research and Education in India.
A highly qualified surgeon; Fellowship of Association of Surgeons of India, International College of Surgeons, Chicago, U.S.A., College of Chest Physicians, New Delhi, India, Academy of Medical Specialties, New Delhi, India, Madras Medical College, India; Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam has been instrumental in bringing latest in medical technology and procedures to the common patient. With his experience in Management, Dr Bakthavathsalam pioneered the practice of integrating corporate efficiency in providing affordable healthcare services through K.G. Hospital.
A testament to his effort has been the recognition for K.G. Hospital by the Government of India, Dr MGR Medical University, and the National Board for conducting Medical Research, and as a center for Nursing Education and post graduate courses in General Medicine, General Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology and Radio Diagnosis. The Hospital today has the reputation of being one of the finest medical centers in the country and is the fourth hospital in the country to get an ISO 9002 Certification.
