The Department of Anesthesiology at K.G. Hospital provides anesthetic services to all types of surgeries carried out at the hospital. During the surgical procedure/operation, the anesthesiologist is solely responsible for monitoring and optimizing the function of the patient's vital organs, mainly heart, lungs and the brain, in addition to providing anesthetic and pain-relief services.
The department along with operative assistance also provides Pre and Post-operative pain relief for patients from all specialties in the hospital. After surgery, patients kept in the Intensive Care Unit on respirators are also attended by an anesthesiologist.
The department also provides intensive care services to the medical patients admitted in Heart Center/ CCU.
The department is ably staffed by highly skilled professionals.
The department is equipped with all mandatory monitors, recommended by American Society of Anesthesiologist and Indian Society of Anesthesiologist and State of the Art Anaesthetic machines and ventilators.
