K.G. Hospital's Obstetrics & Gynecology department is a tertiary care facility, which provides enhanced OB/GY care. This includes a state-of-the-art comprehensive neonatal intensive care unit for the newborn babies. The OG team comprises of Junior Gynecologists and duty doctors, which is headed by two senior consultants.

Apart from managing the routine problems, Gynaec cancer screening, infertility work up protocols, treatment and follow-up of menopausal or hysterectomised ladies with hormone replacement therapy are some of the services provided in Gynecology by the Department.

The department has a full fledged Obstetric set up including a fully equipped labor theatre, with fetal cardio tachometer, an operation theatre functioning round the clock, ICUs and CCUs for obstetric criticare, treating a large number of cases with post partum haemorrhage,disseminated intravascular coagulation, cortical venous thrombosis, Eciampasia, Post partum sepsis and HELLP syndrome and similar conditions.

Laparoscopic services are also extended to patients requiring hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, tubal pregnancies, adhesiolysis and as a part of infertility work up especially endometriosis.

K.G. Hospital is also a referral center for hospitals all over Tamil Nadu and the neighboring states for Neonatology. The department runs an anti-abortion center and counseling center as a part of the Public Awareness program
