Libraries for all villages
COIMBATORE: K.G. Hospital and K.G. Information Systems Private Limited have donated Rs.5 lakh to the Government for constructing libraries in 82 villages in the district this year, G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman of K.G. Hospital, said in a release. Tamil and English dailies and periodicals will be regularly supplied to these libraries for the benefit of the people who cannot afford to buy these on their own.
The organisations have jointly initiated a series of construction and maintenance activities in villages and rural areas as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Construction of roads, playgrounds in schools, houses for the rural poor, maintenance of tanks, provision of water supply and cremation facilities in villages are some of the activities.
